Croydon Company Receive Prestigious Business Award


Chequers Contracts Services, a leading Croydon based cleaning company, were awarded a prestigious business award this week.

In a glitzy ceremony held at Selhurst Park Stadium on Wednesday night, Chequers beat several big names to win the Best Business for Sustainability crown in the RBS South London Business Awards.

In a hotly contested catagory that included FMCG giant Nestlé, Chequers were clear winners of the award which recognises businesses that are environmentally friendly in everything they do.

This award follows a great run of success for Chequers, who have also been recognised by Croydon Council as the Best of Borough for Corporate and Social Responsibility.

Director Kate Ward commented: "To be nominated alongside companies such as Nestlé was fantastic and we are delighted to have our commitment to sustainability rewarded. The need for sustainability is crucial, more so now than ever. If we can help inspire other companies and organisations to do the same, together we can make a difference.

Chequers, based in Tait Road, is a family run business estabalished in 1987 and recognised as a reputable, reliable and professional cleaning services contrator. Chequers takes pride in tailoring each contract to the specific needs of each client so as to free them to deal with their particular business.
