The 2010 Happy Valley Walk in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care takes place in Happy Valley on Sunday 12th September.

If you wish to take the walk, you have a choice of either a 3 or 7 mile course and you can start between 09.30 and 12.30 with the organisers offering refreshments and entertainment to all participants and a prize for the walker who collects the most sponsorship money.

The walks start from The Fox public house on Coulsdon Common and although there is a small entry fee, dogs are most welcome to accompany their owners and they walk for free!

However, if the thought of walking is all too much on a Sunday morning, then please consider becoming a marshal. The Coulsdon, Caterham and Croydon Jubilee Rotary Clubs are organising the event on behalf on Marie Curie Cancer Care and still need more marshals to help out on the day.

Brian French, the Coulsdon Rotary organiser, stated that “It is a great fun event and one that our regular walkers and marshals really look forward to every year. Whether you are out on the trail or simply helping to guide those that are, you are assured of a great fun day and are sure to meet loads of new people with the benefit that all the proceeds are going to a very worthy cause”.

So, whether you want to walk or marshal, simply call the Marie Curie Cancer Care office for further details and entry forms on 01883 832648 or simply just turn up on the day!
