Once again, Trick or Treaters went to Leatherhead town and Swan Centre to partake in various activities for Halloween this year.

On Thursday, 31st October, people gathered all around Leatherhead’s town centre, to see the range of activities that the Leatherhead and Swan Centre Management had organised. These activities included; A fancy dress competition, Train Rides, Animazings creepy crawlies, a balloon modelling Witch, fun games and competitions!

To top it all off, there were also Scary Voodoo Stilt Walkers, walkabout Goblins and a cuddly Yeti which were roaming around the Town Centre, engaging with children, teens and adults alike.

There was also a 'Track The Troll Competition' which was where the Trick or Treaters roamed around the Town Centre, looking for 'trolls footprints', which were hidden in various shops. Everybody who wanted to participate in the Quiz was given a sheet of paper with the name of the shops in the quiz. They then had to find and visit the shops, locating the 'footprints' and counting them, to then record the number on the sheet provided. The prize was to then be entered in a prize draw to win a £10 Argos gift voucher.  Barton's Book Shop not only participated in the quiz, but also gave away a free book to every child which was on a small table in the middle of the shop.

When I asked Ollie Long,  aged 9, what he thought about the evening, he replied with "It was really good, I went with my best friends and we went on the train ride which was really funny. The scary people on the stilts were really freaky!"

There was an aroma of fun and excitement in the air surrounding everyone in Leatherhead this year. Afterwards, when I was ready to leave, I didn't know we'd be sharing a lift with the Scary Voodoo Stilt Walkers! It was the icing on the cake to end such an amazing and haunting afternoon!
