Katie Sollohub has been an artist in residence at JMW Turner's House for the past year and to celebrate, is taking new drawings and paintings to the Stables Gallery.
Used to working at the home of England's great landscape painter, Sollohub has been inspired by the atmosphere of Turner and focused her works on the architectural character of his designs.
Her latest exhibition includes a series of 9ft paintings among the 40 exhibits, with oil paint and charcoal used as the materials of preference.
Soil from Turner's garden has also been used to add an authentic touch.
Catherine Parry-Wingfield, chairman of Turner's House Trust, says: "Turner would no doubt be delighted that his former home today inspires high-calibre artists such as Katie."
Last year, two of Sollohub's drawings were shortlisted for the Jerwood Drawing Prize and this year, one of her Sandycombe Lodge paintings has been shortlisted for the Lynn Painter Stainers Prize.
