Attempted robbery thwarted by off duty cop and Christmas shoppers
A robber was foiled by an off duty policeman with the help of some Christmas shoppers.
Police were called at 3.41pm to reports a woman had been robbed at Crown Point, near to Primark, in Croydon town centre.
A man was detained by members of the public and an off duty policeman.
A police spokesman said officers attended the scene and arrested a man on suspicion of robbery.
