Roads in Selsdon have been closed this morning after a crash outside a school.

A police spokesman said the crash in Addington Road involved a motorcycle and a car.

"Police were called at 6.51am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a car in Addington Road, South Croydon.

"Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade.

"The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, was taken to a south London hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

"The driver stopped at the scene. No arrest; enquiries continue.

"If you saw the collision or have any information that could assist police, call 101."

Addington Road is closed both ways between Foxearth Road and Ingham Road with traffic backing up into Upper Selsdon Road and into Featherbed Lane.

The accident took place right outside Selsdon Primary School.

As a result of the crash, bus routes 64 and 359 have been affected.
