A mother of three daughters, Isha Crosdale entered the Miss British Beauty Curve pageant to prove to her kids that the shape of a woman's body is nothing to be ashamed of.
After being crowned champion of the national event, it's fair to say she has gone a long way towards fulfilling that goal.
Last year the New Addington woman placed 1st runner-up in the Mrs division, but after winning three of the four categories this time around, there was no denying her the title.
"This was obviously my target and goal which I am so over the moon," she said.
"I had 15 family and friends come and support me which totally spurred me on each time I came out on stage."
But it was the look's on her children's faces that meant the most to her.
"My children's reaction when I won was priceless and they have told me i inspire them im so happy," she said.
"In October I go on to represent the United Kingdom in the international finals of the pageant.
"I am just so pleased to be able to say that I won while representing Croydon and my family."
