A man had to be cut out from his car earlier this week after crashing into a South Croydon house.

When London Fire Brigade arrived at the scene in Croham Road just after 5am on Wednesday (September 5) they found a man trapped in his car due to the injuries he had sustained.

Firefighters used cutting equipment to release the man from the car and he was taken to hospital by London Ambulance Service.

Four people left the house, which sustained structural damage, before the arrival of the LFB. Crews also shored up the building to make it safe.
