Two people have been hospitalised following a house fire in Thornton Heath this morning (September 13).
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were called to a fire at a terraced house in Colliers Water Lane.
Approximately half the ground floor was damaged, with the first floor also sustaining some damage.
Four people left the property before the arrival of fire services.
London Fire Brigade was called at 10.43am, bringing the fire under control at 11.41am.
Fire crews from Norbury, West Norwood, Wallington and Croydon fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of fire is under investigation.
Lane 1 on the southbound A23 London Road has been blocked off due to the incident.
