Dons fans should consider the club's history before making the trip to Stadium mk

The chairman of the Wimbledon Independent Supporters Association says they will not be calling for a fans boycott of the historic FA Cup clash between AFC Wimbledon and MK Dons.

Simon Wheeler says WISA will be having talks with the Dons' board later today to discuss the club's overall approach, but whether Dons fans make the trip to Stadium mk will be their own decision.

MK Dons' 6-1 win over Cambridge City last night (Tuesday) emphatically set up the second round clash with the Dons, due to be played on the weekend of December 1.

Wheeler said: "We will not be calling for a boycott of the game, however we are asking supporters to consider the history of their club and make their own decision about going.

"I will not be going for two reasons: one, I do not want to give a penny to a football  club that stole from us, and, two, between 2002 and 2007 I was personally asking people to boycott MK Dons games - I had one Dons fans who had been going to matches for 20 years and he told me would not be going, so I think it would be hypocritical of me."

He added: "The MK Dons do not know who they are, they have a real identity crisis. One minute they are a club for Milton Keynes, then the local paper refers to them as the Dons.

I agree with the WISA chairman Simon Wheeler who is reported as saying "Personally I would rather take my girlfriend’s mother to the garden centre than go to that game" . I saw AFC Wimbledon play once and came to same conclusion, that I would rather go to a garden centre than have to endure watching AFC Wimbledon play!

It's time to stop this drop the dons n hatred between this it 10yrs ago so lets move on, IF anyone is to blame for all this look no further than the door step of Merton Council, all the demos back in the 90s outside of the civic centre in morden where no one from the gave a **** bout finding Wimbledon Fc a new place to build a ground, I was there non stop through my season ticket days of selhurst park from 1991-2002. No one listened n they still don't. So lets all move on play this game with no wrong or rights between to clubs n turn ur anger to the borough where I lived in for 28yrs Merton Council, look at the past what we've done to get a ground n you'll see there the cause!!!!
Come on you MK Dons n AFC Dons

So Simon Wheeler would rather go to a garden center rather than go to the most anticipated game for the two clubs? And fans are boycotting the game because they don't want to give money to the club that 'stole' from you!? That just goes to show you why Afc fail at a lot of things - if the roles were reversed I would still go to Afc Kingston - sorry, Afc Wimbledon even though I would hate giving them my money.
This game was wanted by us - just not by Afc! Get over it, we're coming for your Afc so you'd better be ready.

Wheeler can't ask anyone to boycott the game. It was part of the agreement when MK Dons handed over the Wimbledon FC silverware to Merton Council, but I suppose he has forgotten that.

If you read the accord, I think that you will find that it states: 13. Once the transfer of all physical patrimony and records has been agreed and implemented WISA and the FSF will withdraw any and all objections, and any existing policies which support such objections, to other professional football clubs playing MKDFC in pre-season friendly fixtures. WISA and the FSF shall also similarly withdraw their policies of calling for supporters of other clubs to boycott attendance as away supporters at MKDFC home fixtures in all competitions and friendly matches.

Other Clubs does not relate to AFC Wimbledon.

As I say Merton Council is to blame no one else, 2 good clubs have come out of this, let the football do the talking n shhh your noise.
Dean Lewington to score the winner as he Orginal Don n born in Kingston.
AFC the story is with Merton no one else.
As I see the greyhound stadium story has cropped up again just as it did in 1995, 97 & 99 that shuts people up for abit with promises then it will blow away again time after time n nothing happens n if it does happen its Merton council with a guilty conscience plus this heart ache n anger could have been prevented years ago.
