Youngsters from Sutton & District displayed solid packing to take both the boys’ U11 and U13 team honours in the Holly Runs, staged in deep snow in Priory Park, Reigate, on Sunday.

Ryan Galvin (4:22), Conor Campbell (4:23) and Alex Galvin (4:23) finishing almost in a line to take sixth, seventh and eighth places in the U11 event.

Ethan Vincton (4:25), from Esher Church School, was 10th.

Two other Sutton & District runners in the event were Dario Kan (4:57) and George Charnock (5:01), who were 21st and 23rd.

Meanwhile, Ben Charnock (6:17), Jack Webster (6:33) and Ben Barry (6:48) finished fourth, sixth and eighth to grab the team honours in the U13 race.

Sutton & District’s Emer Kerr (16:52) won the junior women’s race while Belgrave’s Vikki Goodwin (17:21) was third in the senior race.

Wimbledon’s Emma-Louise Clark (4:44) finished in bronze medal position in the girls’ U11 race, with Sutton & District’s Amy Hancock (4.54) and Caitlin Williams (5:18) seventh and 13th.

Rebecca Penfold (eighth in 6:45) was Sutton’s only runner in the girls’ U13 race.

Wilson’s schoolboy Tom Holden won the boys’ U15 race in 14:12, from Dorking’s Jack Wyllie (14:33) and Reigate’s Joseph Stanley (15:15).

Hercules Wimbledon’s Joe Clark was fourth in the boys’ U17 race in 14:20, behind Croydon’s Peter Chambers (13:09), Oxted School’s Dom Nolan (13:13) and Dorking’s George James (13:55).

Jon Ladley (34:33) and Jonathan Brine (34:49) finished fourth and fifth to lead Walton to second team place in the senior men’s event. Chris Ness (10th in 36:28) completed the team.

Declan Flynn (37:25), from 26.2 Road Runners’ Club, was third veteran over 50, finishing 17th.
